Swipe Dance

Swipe is a mobile platform for students learning dance through video. I joined to help turn a content-heavy library into a more interactive and supportive learning experience. When I arrived, students struggled to find the right classes, and the core flow felt too passive for real practice at home. I focused on improving discoverability and reshaping key parts of the class experience, including video planning and mirroring, to make learning feel more natural, useful, and engaging.

Impact

This project was my first real lesson in "Contextual UX." I wasn't just designing for a screen; I was designing for a person in a small, dark apartment trying to follow a teacher. Understanding that specific environment is what led us to the transparency overlay and the discovery nudges. It taught me that the best design solutions don't come from following a template, but from solving for the physical and mental state the user is in at that exact moment.
